The vocation to be a Benedictine Sister of Perpetual Adoration is a call to prefer nothing to the love of Christ. It is to seek God in the rhythm of the Liturgy of the Hours, Eucharist, lectio divina, adoration, work within the enclosure of the monastery, meals and recreation. It is to share the journey to God with sisters who will challenge and encourage you along the way. It is to be united with the world through prayer more deeply than you could have ever imagined.
We accept women between the ages of 20 and 40 who are in good health physically and mentally and have no children (even adult children).
You must be a practicing Catholic for a minimum of two years before entering.
If you have been married, you must have an annulment.
You need to make arrangements for your financial indebtedness.
You need to be:
- Flexible
- Able to get along with all age groups
- At ease with solitude and silence
- Able to keep commitments and be disciplined
- Willing to read and study
- Prepared to sacrifice and be challenged
Above else you must SEEK GOD.
